A simple three-legged design that preserves tradition

While modern designs and compact Buddhist altars have grown in popularity in recent years, Bon lanterns have primarily remained traditional in design. The traditional three-legged Bon lantern (Ouchi Andon) has long been associated with a strong sense of “Japanese tradition.” Our new “AGASATO” model replaces the traditional three-legged base with black steel, creating a design that preserves traditional style while fitting seamlessly into modern lifestyles. This product is designed to meet the needs of those who wish to honor long-standing customs without compromising the style of their living space.

“TSUDOI,” a Bon Festival lantern with a soft, rounded shape to be announced on the same day

“TSUDOI” is a traditional Japanese lantern that combines a compact, simple design with removable handles, allowing it to be displayed either on a stand or hung from a hook. It is perfect for use with small Buddhist altars or for keeping at your bedside.

TSUDOI blends seamlessly into your living space like a piece of interior decor and is sized to complement modern small- to medium-sized Buddhist altars. It was developed in response to feedback from customers who wanted to celebrate Obon with their families but found it difficult to display decorations due to space constraints or the room’s ambiance. When families reunite with their ancestors and relatives during Obon, bonds and hearts come together. TSUDOI is an Obon lantern that symbolizes family, casting a warm glow in the gathering space.
