2024年1月1日に発生した能登半島地震とその関連の事故によって犠牲になられたすべての方々にお悔やみを申し上げます。また、被災者の方々に衷心よりお見舞い申し上げ、被災地の皆様の安全と、一日も早い復興をお祈りしております。

若林佛具製作所は本年で創業195年目を迎えることができました。これも関わる人々、すなわち従業員、職人の皆様、出入業者様、そして何よりご愛顧いただいているお客様のおかげであると感謝申し上げる次第です。弊社の経営理念に掲げている、関わる人々の幸せと心のやすらぎを追求していく姿勢は、これからも変わることはありません。来たるべき創業２００周年を目指して、これまでの事業を大切にしながら次代を見据えた動きにチャレンジを続けているところです。

京都の工芸職人の技術は、良き仕事の存在によって継続していきますし、後継者も育っていくものです。これまでの製品にこだわることなく、常に新たな分野への応用も頭に描きながら動いていくことが大切であると考えています。また手を合わせるという心と文化は、一つでも多くのご家庭に手を合わせる場所（お仏壇）を提供することによって守られていくものと考えます。いずれにしましても、これまでの常識や考え方にとらわれない変化が求められる時代において、若林佛具製作所がどのように進んでいくべきかを考え、行動し続けることが重要です。
これまで長い間培ってきた知識や経験を最大限に駆使しながら、皆様のお役に立てるよう引き続き各事業に邁進していきます。
2024年が、関わるすべての皆様にとって明るく素晴らしい年になりますよう祈念いたします。

This year marks the 195th anniversary of the founding of Wakabayashi Butsugu Mfg. We would like to express our gratitude to all of our employees, craftsmen, suppliers and, above all, our loyal customers. We will continue to pursue the happiness and peace of the people who are involved, as written in our philosophy. As we aim to celebrate the 200th anniversary, we are continuing to take on the challenge of looking ahead to the next generation, while continuing to treasure our existing business.

The techniques of Kyoto’s craftsmen pass on through the good work which also develops successors in the next generation. We believe that it is important to always keep in mind the application of skills in new fields without sticking to existing products. We also believe that the spirit and culture of holding hands will continue by providing as many families as possible with a place (Buddhist altar) where they can hold hands together. In any case, it is important for us to continue to think about how we should move ahead and take action in an era that needs change without conventional wisdom and thinking.
We will continue to strive in our businesses to serve you, making the most of the knowledge and experience we have built up over the years.
