Newly designed Bon Festival lanterns to complement modern Buddhist altars

While modern designs and compact Buddhist altars have grown in popularity in recent years, Bon lanterns have primarily remained in traditional styles, such as hanging lanterns and tripod-style table lanterns.

“I can’t find anything that goes with my new Buddhist altar.”
“AKASHI” is a new style of Bon lantern created in response to feedback like this from our customers.
By using brass accents to represent the cloud-shaped handle, we’ve created a design that preserves the traditional identity of the Bon lantern while seamlessly blending into modern home interiors. It complements both Japanese-style and Western-style rooms, regardless of the room’s decor.

An original design featuring the “Kumode” (handles) characteristic of Bon lanterns.
Matchs both Japanese-style and Western-style rooms, regardless of the room’s decor.
